# Klammljoch

**Klammljoch** (el. 2288 m.) is a high [mountain pass](/source/Mountain_pass) in the [Alps](/source/Alps) on the border between [Austria](/source/Austria) and [Italy](/source/Italy).

It connects the Austrian state of [Tyrol](/source/Tyrol_(state)) with the Italian province of [South Tyrol](/source/South_Tyrol), being located between [Sankt Jakob in Defereggen](/source/Sankt_Jakob_in_Defereggen) and [Sand in Taufers](/source/Sand_in_Taufers). The steep gravel road over the pass is closed to motorized vehicles, but it can be traversed by bicycle.
