==Geography==
Klabava is located about {{convert|4|km|0}} west of [Rokycany](/source/Rokycany) and {{convert|11|km|0|abbr=on}} east of [Plzeň](/source/Plze%C5%88). It lies in the [Švihov Highlands](/source/%C5%A0vihov_Highlands). The highest point is at {{convert|413|m|ft|abbr=on}} above sea level. The municipality is situated on the right bank of the [Klabava](/source/Klabava_(river)) River and on the shore of the Klabava Reservoir, built on the river. However, the reservoir is located completely outside the municipal territory.
==History==
The document relating Klabava to the year 1368 is a forgery from the 15th century. The first trustworthy written mention of Klabava is in a deed of King [Wenceslaus IV](/source/Wenceslaus_IV_of_Bohemia) from 1401, when the village was owned by the monastery in [Rokycany](/source/Rokycany).
