**Kishoreganj-5** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Bajitpur](/source/Bajitpur_Upazila) and [Nikli](/source/Nikli_Upazila) upazilas.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from a Mymensingh constituency when the former Mymensingh District was split into four districts: [Mymensingh](/source/Mymensingh_District), [Sherpur](/source/Sherpur_District), [Netrokona](/source/Netrokona_District), and [Kishoreganj](/source/Kishoreganj_District).[4]
