**Kinchit Devang Shah** (born 9 December 1995) is an Indian-born Hong Kong [cricketer](/source/Cricket). He is a left-handed [batsman](/source/Batsman_(cricket)), right-arm off break bowler and occasional wicket-keeper.

## Career

Shah made his [T20](/source/Twenty20_cricket) cricket debut against the Canada cricket team on 15 March 2012.[1] He made his [One Day International](/source/One_Day_International) debut for Hong Kong on 8 November 2014 [against Papua New Guinea](/source/Hong_Kong_cricket_team_against_Papua_New_Guinea_in_Australia_in_2014%E2%80%9315) in Australia.[2] He made his [Twenty20 International](/source/Twenty20_International) debut on 24 November 2014 [against Nepal](/source/Hong_Kong_cricket_team_against_Nepal_in_Sri_Lanka_in_2014%E2%80%9315) in Sri Lanka.[3]

In August 2018, Shah was named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2018 Asia Cup Qualifier](/source/2018_Asia_Cup_Qualifier) tournament.[4] Hong Kong won the qualifier tournament, and he was then named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2018 Asia Cup](/source/2018_Asia_Cup).[5]

Shah was a member of Hong Kong's squad for the [2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two](/source/2019_ICC_World_Cricket_League_Division_Two) tournament in Namibia.[6] In Hong Kong's opening match of the tournament, against [Canada](/source/Canada_national_cricket_team), Shah took a [hat-trick](/source/Hat-trick_(cricket)).[7] He was the leading wicket-taker for Hong Kong in the tournament, with eleven dismissals in six matches.[8]

In September 2019, Shah was named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier](/source/2019_ICC_T20_World_Cup_Qualifier) tournament in the United Arab Emirates.[9] He was the leading run-scorer for Hong Kong in the tournament, with 223 runs in seven matches.[10] In November 2019, he was named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup](/source/2019_ACC_Emerging_Teams_Asia_Cup) in Bangladesh.[11] Later the same month, he was named in Hong Kong's squad for the [Cricket World Cup Challenge League B](/source/2019_Oman_Cricket_World_Cup_Challenge_League_B) tournament in Oman.[12] In the third match of the tournament, against [Bermuda](/source/Bermuda_national_cricket_team), he scored his first century in List A cricket.[13]

In May 2022, he was named in Hong Kong's side for the [2022 Uganda Cricket World Cup Challenge League B](/source/2022_Uganda_Cricket_World_Cup_Challenge_League_B) tournament.[14]

On August 31, 2022, during [2022 Asia Cup](/source/2022_Asia_Cup#Group_A) vs. [India](/source/India_national_cricket_team), in which he was also a vice-captain, he proposed to his girlfriend.[15]
