**Kieran Rush** (born 3 September 2002) is a [Jamaica international](/source/Jamaica_national_rugby_league_team) [rugby league](/source/Rugby_league) footballer who plays as a [scrum-half](/source/Rugby_league_positions#Scrum-half) or [hooker](/source/Hooker_(rugby_league)) for the [Huddersfield Giants](/source/Huddersfield_Giants) in the [Super League](/source/Super_League).

He has spent time on loan from [Huddersfield](/source/Huddersfield_Giants) at [Swinton Lions](/source/Swinton_Lions), [Rochdale Hornets](/source/Rochdale_Hornets) and [Keighley Cougars](/source/Keighley_Cougars) in [League One](/source/RFL_League_One) and at [Dewsbury Rams](/source/Dewsbury_Rams) in the [Championship](/source/RFL_Championship).

He is a product of the Giants Academy system.

## Playing career

### Club career

Rush is contracted to the [Huddersfield Giants](/source/Huddersfield_Giants) in the [Super League](/source/Super_League) after progressing through the clubs' Academy systems. He made his Super League Debut for the Giants in round 12 of Super League 2023 against the Leigh Leopards.

### International career

In 2022 Rush was named in the [Jamaica squad](/source/2021_Men's_Rugby_League_World_Cup_squads#Jamaica) for the [2021 Rugby League World Cup](/source/2021_Men's_Rugby_League_World_Cup).[3] He made his debut in the halves in the [Group C match](/source/2021_Rugby_League_World_Cup_Group_C) against [Ireland](/source/Ireland_national_rugby_league_team) at [Headingley Rugby Stadium](/source/Headingley_Rugby_Stadium) in [Leeds, West Yorkshire](/source/Leeds%2C_West_Yorkshire).[4] Rush made history when he kicked a penalty goal to register Jamaica's first ever points in a Rugby League world cup.[5]
