**Khondab County** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): شهرستان خنداب) is in [Markazi](/source/Markazi_province) province, Iran. Its capital is the city of [Khondab](/source/Khondab).[2]

## History

After the 2006 National Census, [Khondab District](/source/Khondab_District) was separated from [Arak County](/source/Arak_County) in the establishment of Khondab County, which was divided into two districts and five rural districts, with Khondab as its capital.[2]

## Demographics

### Population

At the time of the 2011 census, the county's population was 58,262 people in 16,669 households.[3] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 54,018 in 16,792 households.[4]
