== Location ==
The [Himalayan](/source/Himalayas) peak is located at {{Cvt|7056|m|ft|abbr=on}} above sea level, 15.6 km north northeast of [Mount Everest](/source/Mount_Everest) in the [Tingri district](/source/Tingri_County) of [Shigatse](/source/Shigatse), [Tibet](/source/Tibet).

== Climbing history ==
Towards the end of the [1935 British Mount Everest reconnaissance expedition](/source/1935_British_Mount_Everest_reconnaissance_expedition)  Charles Warren, [Edwin Kempson](/source/Edwin_Kempson_(mountaineer)) and [Michael Spender](/source/Michael_Spender) set out to survey the area east of Everest.
