**Khandwa** is one of the 230 constituencies in the [Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly](/source/Madhya_Pradesh_Legislative_Assembly) of [Madhya Pradesh](/source/Madhya_Pradesh) a central state of [India](/source/India). It is also part of [Khandwa](/source/Khandwa_(Lok_Sabha_constituency)) Lok Sabha constituency[1] and is a reserved seat for the [Scheduled castes](/source/Scheduled_castes) (SC).

The main battle is expected to be between the two time incumbent MLA Shri. [Devendra Verma](/source/Devendra_Verma) of BJP and Shri. Kundan Malviya of the Indian National Congress. The BJP has been winning since 1990.[2]
