He was the starting quarterback for the [Mississippi State Bulldogs](/source/Mississippi_State_Bulldogs_football) in [2001](/source/2001_Mississippi_State_Bulldogs_football_team), [2002](/source/2002_Mississippi_State_Bulldogs_football_team), and [2003](/source/2003_Mississippi_State_Bulldogs_football_team).
