# Keston Sutherland

**Keston M. Sutherland** is a British [poet](/source/Poet), and Professor of Poetics at the [University of Sussex](/source/University_of_Sussex).[1] He was the editor of the poetics and critical theory journal *QUID* and is co-editor (with [Andrea Brady](/source/Andrea_Brady)) of [Barque Press](/source/Barque_Press). His poetry has been compared to [J. H. Prynne](/source/J._H._Prynne), [John Wilkinson](/source/John_Wilkinson_(poet)), and [Drew Milne](/source/Drew_Milne).[1][2] His poem *Hot White Andy* was first published in the United States in a special issue of *Chicago Review*.[3]
