**Kenneth L. Krysko** is an American herpetologist and wildlife biologist. He was educated at [Florida State University](/source/Florida_State_University) (Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences), [Florida International University](/source/Florida_International_University) (Masters in Biological Sciences), and [University of Florida](/source/University_of_Florida) (Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation). He is known for his expert knowledge on [geckos](/source/Geckos) and other invasive species in Florida.[1] He is currently the collection manager of Herpetology at the [Florida Museum of Natural History](/source/Florida_Museum_of_Natural_History)[2] at the University of Florida, where he conducts research and teaches herpetology and other related courses. He is currently known best for his research in the field of reptile genetics, where he has discovered genetic variations in the [eastern indigo snake](/source/Eastern_indigo_snake). He is well respected for his research in [kingsnake](/source/Kingsnake) genetics, and he "invented" a technique for capturing lizards by using a fishing line with a tiny hook baited with crickets.
