# Kenneth Foote

**Kenneth Foote** (born August 2, 1948) from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA was named [Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers](/source/Fellow_of_the_Institute_of_Electrical_and_Electronics_Engineers) (IEEE) in 2015[1] for *contributions to quantification of underwater sound scattering*. He also competed in the [men's quadruple sculls](/source/Rowing_at_the_1976_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_quadruple_sculls) event at the [1976 Summer Olympics](/source/1976_Summer_Olympics).[2]
