# Kenneth Ball

**Kenneth John Ball** (16 May 1889 – 16 January 1958) was an English [cricketer](/source/Cricket). Ball was a right-handed [batsman](/source/Batsman_(cricket)) whose [bowling](/source/Bowling_(cricket)) style is unknown. He was born at [Northampton](/source/Northampton), [Northamptonshire](/source/Northamptonshire).

Ball made his [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) debut for [Northamptonshire](/source/Northamptonshire_County_Cricket_Club) against [Essex](/source/Essex_County_Cricket_Club) in the [1921 County Championship](/source/1921_County_Championship) at the [County Ground, Northampton](/source/County_Ground,_Northampton). He made eleven further first-class appearances for the county in 1921, the last of which came against [Warwickshire](/source/Warwickshire_County_Cricket_Club).[1] In his twelve first-class matches for Northamptonshire, he scored a total of 178 runs at an [average](/source/Batting_average_(cricket)) of 8.47, with a high score of 49.[2] With the ball, he took 13 wickets at a [bowling average](/source/Bowling_average) of 29.53, with best figures of 4/52.[3]

He died at the town of his birth on 16 January 1958.
