# Ken Rennicks

**Kenneth F. Rennicks** (born 1950) is an Irish former [Gaelic football](/source/Gaelic_football) player and coach who played for club sides [Bohermeen](/source/Bohermeen_GAA), [Bohermeen-Martry](/source/Bohermeen-Martry_Harps_GAA) and [St Ultan's](/source/St_Ultan's_GAA) and at inter-county level with the [Meath senior football team](/source/Meath_senior_football_team).[1]

## Career

Rennicks first came to prominence at club level with the [Bohermeen](/source/Bohermeen_GAA) juvenile team. He first lined out at inter-county level as a member of the [Meath minor football team](/source/Meath_GAA), before later earning selection for the under-21 and junior teams. Rennicks made his senior debut with Meath in October 1969. He won a [Leinster Championship](/source/Leinster_Senior_Hurling_Championship) medal in his first full season before later lining out in the [1970 All-Ireland final](/source/1970_All-Ireland_Senior_Football_Championship_Final) defeat by [Kerry](/source/Kerry_county_football_team).[2] Rennicks claimed a [National League](/source/National_Football_League_(Ireland)) title in 1975, while he also ended the season by being selected on the [All-Star team](/source/GAA_All_Stars_Awards).[3][4][5] He also won a [Railway Cup](/source/Railway_Cup) with [Leinster](/source/Leinster_GAA). Rennicks ended his career at club level in 1981. He later became involved in team management and coaching and was a selector with the [St Ultan's](/source/St_Ultan's_GAA) team that won the [County Intermediate Championship](/source/Meath_Intermediate_Football_Championship) title in 2008.
