Canadian musician and composer

**Ken Myhr** is a Canadian musician and composer. He is most noted for his work on the film *[The Accountant of Auschwitz](/source/The_Accountant_of_Auschwitz)*, for which he won the [Canadian Screen Award](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award) for Best Music in a Non-Fiction Program or Series at the [8th Canadian Screen Awards](/source/8th_Canadian_Screen_Awards) in 2020.[1]

Myhr first became noted as a session musician, most notably as a guitarist for [Jane Siberry](/source/Jane_Siberry)[2] and [Cowboy Junkies](/source/Cowboy_Junkies).[3] He had his first credit as a composer on the 1994 short film *[Arrowhead](/source/Arrowhead_(1994_film))*, and his first feature film credit on the 1996 film *[Not Me!](/source/Not_Me!) (Sous-sol)*.[4] His later credits have included the films *[Project Grizzly](/source/Project_Grizzly_(film))*, *[The Herd](/source/The_Herd_(1998_film))*, *[The Real Inglorious Bastards](/source/The_Real_Inglorious_Bastards)*, *[The World Before Her](/source/The_World_Before_Her)*, *[Driving with Selvi](/source/Driving_with_Selvi)*, *[Migrant Dreams](/source/Migrant_Dreams)* and *[Parade: Queer Acts of Love and Resistance](/source/Parade%3A_Queer_Acts_of_Love_and_Resistance)*.

He was previously a Canadian Screen Award nominee at the [1st Canadian Screen Awards](/source/1st_Canadian_Screen_Awards) in 2013 for his work on *The Market* and at the [2nd Canadian Screen Awards](/source/2nd_Canadian_Screen_Awards) for *[Herman's House](/source/Herman's_House)* and *The Real Sherlock Holmes*, and a four-time [Gemini Award](/source/Gemini_Award) nominee for his work on *Dead Heat*, *Geologic Journey: The Great Lakes*, *Geologic Journey II: The Pacific Rim* and *Love at the Twilight Motel*.
