The eldest of four children, Early was raised in [Templeogue](/source/Templeogue) (by Greenhills Park) and graduated from [Trinity College, Dublin](/source/Trinity_College%2C_Dublin) in 2000. During his time at the university, he served as the editor of ''[TCD Miscellany](/source/TCD_Miscellany)'', and was also a member of the [University Philosophical Society](/source/University_Philosophical_Society).
