# Ken Dickson

**Ken Dickson** (1 July 1946 – 15 February 2013) was a [Scottish](/source/Scotland) and [British](/source/Great_Britain) [wheelchair curler](/source/Wheelchair_curling).[1]

Ken was one of the stalwarts of [wheelchair curling](/source/Wheelchair_curling) in Scotland and also played a pivotal role in the development of the Borders and Kinross Wheelchair Curling Clubs. Ken was a successful international curler representing both [Scotland](/source/Scotland) and [Great Britain](/source/Great_Britain). He was a two time [World Champion](/source/World_Wheelchair_Curling_Championship) in 2004 and 2005 and a [2006 Paralympic](/source/Wheelchair_curling_at_the_2006_Winter_Paralympics) silver medalist in [Turin](/source/Turin).

During the he played [second](/source/Second_(curling)) for team England, finishing in sixth place.[2]

Dickson died on 15 February 2013 at the Victoria Hospital, [Kirkcaldy](/source/Kirkcaldy).[3]
