# Keke Topp

**Keke Maximilian Topp** (born 25 March 2004) is a German professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for club [Werder Bremen](/source/SV_Werder_Bremen). He has represented Germany internationally at youth level.

## Club career

After playing youth football for hometown club TSV Gnarrenburg, he signed for [Werder Bremen](/source/SV_Werder_Bremen)'s academy in summer 2013.[4] In March 2021, it was announced that Topp would join [Schalke 04](/source/FC_Schalke_04)'s under-19 team from summer 2021.[5] After six goals in 13 games for the under-19s, he was called up to Schalke's first team for the fixture against [FC St. Pauli](/source/FC_St._Pauli) on 4 December 2021 due to injuries to [Simon Terodde](/source/Simon_Terodde) and [Marius Bülter](/source/Marius_B%C3%BClter).[6][7] He made his debut as a late substitute as Schalke lost 2–1.[8] He made his [Bundesliga](/source/Bundesliga) debut for Schalke in a 2–0 defeat against [1899 Hoffenheim](/source/TSG_1899_Hoffenheim) on 9 April 2023.[9]

In June 2024, Werder Bremen announced Topp would return to the club for the [2024–25 Bundesliga](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_Bundesliga) season.[10] The undisclosed transfer fee was reported as around €2 million plus bonuses.[11]

## International career

Topp made two appearances for the [Germany under-16 team](/source/Germany_national_under-16_football_team) in September 2019.[2] He scored four goals in his first two appearances for the [Germany under-19 team](/source/Germany_national_under-19_football_team) in the [European Championship qualification](/source/2023_UEFA_European_Under-19_Championship_qualification) in September 2022.[12]
