He received his [B.S.](/source/Bachelor_of_Science) in 1978 from [Northwestern University](/source/Northwestern_University) and then went on to attend [Yale School of Drama](/source/Yale_School_of_Drama) until he received his M.A. in 1981.

Reddin grew up in [Englewood, New Jersey](/source/Englewood%2C_New_Jersey), and attended [Dwight Morrow High School](/source/Dwight_Morrow_High_School).<ref>Staff.
