**Quenton Keith Gattis** (May 26, 1970 – April 23, 2023)[1] was an American [country music](/source/Country_music) singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He released two studio albums and charted one single, "Little Drops of My Heart", on the *[Billboard](/source/Billboard_(magazine))* [Hot Country Singles & Tracks](/source/Hot_Country_Songs) chart while signed to [RCA Nashville](/source/RCA_Records_Nashville). In 2002, Gattis joined [Dwight Yoakam's](/source/Dwight_Yoakam) band as band leader and lead electric guitar player and is credited on Yoakam's studio album *[Blame the Vain](/source/Blame_the_Vain)*. In 2005, Gattis released his record *Big City Blues.*

[Kenny Chesney](/source/Kenny_Chesney) recorded two of Gattis' songs for his 2012 album *[Welcome to the Fishbowl](/source/Welcome_to_the_Fishbowl)*. One of the songs, "[El Cerrito Place](/source/El_Cerrito_Place)", previously on Gattis' *Big City Blues* record, was released by Chesney and charted as a *Billboard* top 20 single. "El Cerrito Place" was also recorded by [Charlie Robison](/source/Charlie_Robison) featuring [Natalie Maines](/source/Natalie_Maines). Gattis co-wrote Chesney's 2013 single "[When I See This Bar](/source/When_I_See_This_Bar)" from the album *[Life on a Rock](/source/Life_on_a_Rock)*, and [George Strait](/source/George_Strait)'s 2013 single "[I Got a Car](/source/I_Got_a_Car)". Gattis had numerous film and television placements including songs in *[The Jacket](/source/The_Jacket)*, *[Sicario](/source/Sicario_(2015_film))*, and *[Nashville](/source/Nashville_(2012_TV_series))*.
