'''Keith Walter Wilson Ewert''' (12 April 1918 – 2 December 1989) was an Australian politician. In 1952, Ewert was elected to the [Australian House of Representatives](/source/Australian_House_of_Representatives) as the [Labor](/source/Australian_Labor_Party) member for [Flinders](/source/Division_of_Flinders), unexpectedly winning the [by-election](/source/1952_Flinders_by-election) for that seat caused by the death of [Rupert Ryan](/source/Rupert_Ryan), becoming only the second Labor MP for Flinders. In 1954, he was defeated by [Liberal](/source/Liberal_Party_of_Australia) [Robert Lindsay](/source/Robert_Lindsay_(Australian_politician)).

In [1955](/source/1955_Australian_federal_election), [1958](/source/1958_Australian_federal_election) and [1961](/source/1961_Australian_federal_election), Ewert was the Labor candidate for the nearby seat of [Bruce](/source/Division_of_Bruce), losing each time to Liberal [Billy Snedden](/source/Billy_Snedden).  On the third attempt, Ewert actually led in the first count, but was defeated by [DLP](/source/Democratic_Labor_Party_(Australia%2C_1955)) preferences.

After his final defeat, Ewert resumed his accountancy practice.
