# Keith Chiasson

**Keith Raymond Chiasson** is a [Canadian](/source/Canadians) politician, who was elected to the [Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick](/source/Legislative_Assembly_of_New_Brunswick) in the [2018 election](/source/2018_New_Brunswick_general_election).[1] He represents the electoral district of [Tracadie-Sheila](/source/Tracadie-Sheila_(electoral_district)) as a member of the [Liberal Party](/source/New_Brunswick_Liberal_Association).

Chiasson was re-elected in the 2020 provincial election. As of September 8, 2024, he serves as the Official Opposition critic for Local Government and Local Governance Reform. He was re-elected in the [2024 general election](/source/2024_New_Brunswick_general_election) in the riding of [Tracadie](/source/Tracadie_(electoral_district)). On November 1, 2024, it was announced that he was placed on the cabinet as Minister of Indigenous Affairs.[2]
