This film stars [Dharmendra](/source/Dharmendra) (who previously appeared in Hingorani's *[Kahani Kismat Ki](/source/Kahani_Kismat_Ki)*), [Rishi Kapoor](/source/Rishi_Kapoor), [Zeenat Aman](/source/Zeenat_Aman), [Tina Munim](/source/Tina_Munim), [Nirupa Roy](/source/Nirupa_Roy), [Shakti Kapoor](/source/Shakti_Kapoor) and [Amjad Khan](/source/Amjad_Khan_(actor)). The music is by [Kalyanji Anandji](/source/Kalyanji_Anandji). ## Reception and legacy

The film became a box office super hit. At the Indian box office, the film grossed ₹80 million (US$9.2 million) in 1981,[1] equivalent to an estimated ₹3.8 billion (US$40 million) adjusted for inflation in 2023.[a]

Retrospectively, the film is best known for its hit music and several [exploitation film](/source/Exploitation_film) gimmicks. Capitalizing on [Bruce Lee](/source/Bruce_Lee)'s popularity in India, the film exploited the [Bruceploitation](/source/Bruceploitation) trend from [Hong Kong action cinema](/source/Hong_Kong_action_cinema), with the appearance of Bruce Lee lookalike [Bruce Le](/source/Bruce_Le) in the film. It also featured a special character called Reecha, who was born of a woman and a wild bear, and resembles [General Ursus](/source/General_Ursus) from *[Planet of the Apes](/source/Planet_of_the_Apes)*.[3]
