# Kateryna Yurchenko

**Kateryna Yurchenko** (Ukrainian: Катерина Юрченко) (born August 19, 1976) is a [Ukrainian](/source/Ukraine) [sprint canoer](/source/Canoe_racing) who competed in the mid-1990s. At the [1996 Summer Olympics](/source/1996_Summer_Olympics) in [Atlanta](/source/Atlanta), she was eliminated in the semifinals of both the [K-2 500 m](/source/Canoeing_at_the_1996_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_K-2_500_metres) and the [K-4 500 m](/source/Canoeing_at_the_1996_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_K-4_500_metres) event.

Yurchenko's father, [Vasyl](/source/Vasyl_Yurchenko), won two [Olympic medals](/source/Canoeing_at_the_Summer_Olympics) in canoeing in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
