**Kasouga** or **Kasuka** is a small village in [Sarah Baartman District Municipality](/source/Sarah_Baartman_District_Municipality) in the [Eastern Cape](/source/Eastern_Cape) province of [South Africa](/source/South_Africa).

Settlement some 10 km north-east of [Kenton-on-Sea](/source/Kenton-on-Sea), near the mouth of the [Kasuka River](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kasuka_River&action=edit&redlink=1). The name is derived from [Khoekhoen](/source/Khoekhoe_language) and means 'place of many [leopards](/source/Leopard)'. The river name "Kasuka" is a [Xhosa](/source/Xhosa_language) adaptation of the word, and has the same meaning.[2]
