# Karen Stratton

**Karen Stratton** (born c. 1959[1]) is an American politician, [cannabis farmer](/source/Cannabis_cultivation), and businessperson in the [cannabis industry](/source/Cannabis_industry).[2][3][4][1] She served as a [Spokane City Councilperson](/source/Spokane_City_Council). from 2014 to December 31, 2023. She graduated from [Marycliff High School](/source/Marycliff_High_School) in Spokane, and earned a bachelor's degree from [Eastern Washington University](/source/Eastern_Washington_University).[5]

Stratton was appointed to the Spokane City Council in 2014,[6] then won election in 2015.[7] She won an election to keep her seat on the City Council in 2019.[8]
