His campaign against the [Kamboja dynasty](/source/Kamboja-Pala_Dynasty_of_Bengal) in [Varendra](/source/Varendra) allowed the resurgent [Pala Emperor](/source/Pala_Empire) [Mahipala I](/source/Mahipala) to reclaim much of North Bengal.
