**Kajavan** ([Armenian](/source/Armenian_language): Քաջավան) or **Amiranlar** ([Azerbaijani](/source/Azerbaijani_language): *Əmiranlar*) is a village located in the [Khojavend District](/source/Khojavend_District) of [Azerbaijan](/source/Azerbaijan), in the region of [Nagorno-Karabakh](/source/Nagorno-Karabakh). Until 2023 it was controlled by the breakaway [Republic of Artsakh](/source/Republic_of_Artsakh). The village had an ethnic [Armenian](/source/Armenians)-majority population[2] until the [expulsion](/source/Expulsion_of_Nagorno-Karabakh_Armenians) of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan following the [2023 Azerbaijani offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh](/source/2023_Azerbaijani_offensive_in_Nagorno-Karabakh).[3]

## History

During the [Soviet](/source/Soviet_Union) period, the village was part of the [Martuni District](/source/Martuni_District_(NKAO)) of the [Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast](/source/Nagorno-Karabakh_Autonomous_Oblast).

## Economy and culture

The village is part of the community of [Martuni](/source/Martuni%2C_Nagorno-Karabakh).[4]

## Demographics

The village had an ethnic [Armenian](/source/Armenians)-majority population of 99 inhabitants in 2005.[4]
