The name "Tracid" is a [portmanteau](/source/Portmanteau) of the electronic music styles [trance](/source/Trance_music) and [acid](/source/Acid_(electronic_music)). ## Career In [Germany](/source/Germany) he became famous with his first [single](/source/Single_(music)), "Your Own Reality". In 1998 he gained worldwide fame with Liquid Skies. In November 2001 he got his first Top-10 hit in the German single charts.
