**KBIC** (105.7 [FM](/source/FM_broadcasting), "Radio Vida") is a [radio station](/source/Radio_station) broadcasting a [Spanish](/source/Spanish_language) [Religious](/source/Religious_broadcasting) format.[1] Licensed to [Raymondville, Texas](/source/Raymondville,_Texas), United States, the station serves the McAllen-Brownsville-Harlingen area. The station is currently owned by Christian Ministries of the Valley.[2]

## History

The [Federal Communications Commission](/source/Federal_Communications_Commission) issued a [construction permit](/source/Construction_permit) for the station on March 5, 1991.[3] The station was assigned the [call sign](/source/Call_sign) KQUF on May 3, 1991. On October 7, 1991, the station changed its call sign to KARU, and on June 1, 1995, to the current KBIC.[4] The station was granted its [license to cover](/source/Broadcast_license) on December 31, 1997.[5]

In addition to the main station, KBIC is relayed by an additional translator to widen its broadcast area.
