**Patrick Cybulski**[1] (born April 19, 1997),[2] known by his stage name **K?d** (pronounced "kid"),[3] is an American [electronic musician](/source/Electronic_music) and [DJ](/source/Disc_jockey). He is known for his single "[Lose Myself](/source/Lose_Myself_(song))" (featuring Phil Good), which charted on the [US *Billboard* Dance/Mix Show Airplay](/source/Dance%2FMix_Show_Airplay) at #40,[1] as well as his single "Distance" (featuring Blair), which peaked at #16 on the aforementioned chart. ## Career

### 2015: Early releases

On April 9, 2015, Cybulski released the single "Nova Vita" under the name "Doggun" on the label Jaba Recordings. Later that month, on April 25, he would release on the label again with the song "The Cove", but this time under the name "kid".

On May 18, Cybulski released the single "Gold Blood" on record label Only Delusions. A month later, on June 25, Cybulski released a second single "Space Cowboy" on the same label.

On July 9, Cybulski released the single "Bits & Pieces" as a collaboration with Kuiters on the record label Trillers. On July 20, Cybulski released two singles on two different record labels: "Zero Zero" on Onstreet, and "Keepo" on Icon.

On August 1, Cybulski released the track "Paperplane"[13] on the record label Too Lush, as a part of the label's compilation album *Too Lush Vol. 4*, which also featured falcxne, Kuiters, Buji (James Ivy), Boba Sweat and Celadon City (Academy Garden). On August 24, Cybulski self-released the single "Cardinal" with Kuiters, with whom he had previously collaborated on "Bits & Pieces". The song was promoted by [Skrillex](/source/Skrillex)'s [Nest HQ](/source/Owsla) imprint.[14]

On November 11, Cybulski self-released a remix of "The Touch" by KOLAJ.[15]

### 2016: Popular remixes

On January 6, 2016, Cybulski released his remix of "Renaissance" by [Steve James](/source/Steve_James_(DJ)) (featuring [Clairity](/source/Clairity)).[16] EDMTunes described the remix as "akin to the likes of [Zedd](/source/Zedd) or [Madeon](/source/Madeon)".[17] Months later, on April 8, the remix would be featured on Steve James' remix package for Renaissance, released through [Ultra Music](/source/Ultra_Music), alongside other remixes of the song from [ARMNHMR](/source/Armnhmr), Myles Travitz, and Paxel.[18]

On January 29, 2016, Cybulski released a remix of "This Ain't Over" by [Alex Newell](/source/Alex_Newell) on [Big Beat Records](/source/Big_Beat_Records_(American_record_label)).[19] The remix was featured on Newell's *This Ain't Over (Remixes)* EP, alongside remixes from [Odd Mob](/source/Odd_Mob), TKDJS, Autolaser, and PVC.[20]

On March 25, 2016, Cybulski released a remix of "Cliff's Edge" by [Hayley Kiyoko](/source/Hayley_Kiyoko), which was featured on her remix package for the song.[21][22][23]

Cybulski released a remix of "Fallen" (feat. [Desirée Dawson](/source/Desir%C3%A9e_Dawson)) by ARMNHMR on April 5, 2016, on [Far East Movement](/source/Far_East_Movement)'s record label brednbutter.[24] One week later, on April 13, Cybulski released a remix of "Red Lips" (featuring Sam Bruno) by [GTA](/source/Good_Times_Ahead).[25] It was around this point that he switched out the 'i' in his alias for his defining question mark (from "kid" to "k?d"). Less than two weeks after "Red Lips," Cybulski released a remix of "What You Need" by [The Weeknd](/source/The_Weeknd) on April 26.[26] On May 3, 2016, Cybulski released a remix of "[Doin' It Right](/source/Doin'_It_Right)" by [Daft Punk](/source/Daft_Punk) and [Panda Bear](/source/Panda_Bear_(musician)).[27][28]

On May 23, 2016, Cybulski released his first self-released solo single "Somewhere Far Away from Here," featuring singer Lolaby.[29][30] The track was praised for its reminiscence to the style of [Porter Robinson](/source/Porter_Robinson)'s *[Worlds](/source/Worlds_(Porter_Robinson_album))*.[31][32] Following "Somewhere Far Away," Cybulski released another solo single, "Show Me," featuring vocalist/rapper Rahn Harper, on June 14.[33][34]

Two days later, Cybulski released a remix of "Elevated" by RKCB, which was featured on their remix package for the song.[36][37] On July 20, Cybulski released a remix of "Youth" by Manila Killa, featuring Satica. The remix was featured on Manila Killa's *Youth (Remixes)* alongside a remix from Qrion.[38][39] A week after "Youth," Cybulski released yet another remix, this one for "Happy" by Annabel Jones on [Atlantic Records](/source/Atlantic_Records).[40]

On August 8, 2016, Cybulski released the single "Discover", featuring RKCB, on the record label [PRMD Music](/source/PRMD_Music).[41] The track was premiered by *[Billboard](/source/Billboard_(magazine))* on release.[42] The song's lyric video was released on August 16, 2016.[43]

Cybulski released a remix of "4AM" by [Huntar](/source/Lewis_Mokler) on August 22, 2016.[44][45] On September 15, he released the single "Birth of the Universe".[46][47] He released another single, "Forgotten"[48] on October 6, 2016, which marked the start of his side project glitch boy.

On October 26, 2016, Cybulski released the single "Mortem".[49] The following month, Cybulski released a remix of "[Sad Machine](/source/Sad_Machine)" by [Porter Robinson](/source/Porter_Robinson)[50][51] on the 7th, and a remix of "[We Are Your Friends](/source/We_Are_Your_Friends_(song))"[52] by [Justice](/source/Justice_(band)) vs. [Simian](/source/Simian_(band)) on the 29th. Two weeks later, on December 13, Cybulski released a remix of "It's All On U" by [Illenium](/source/Illenium) (featuring Liam O'Donnell). The track was featured on Illenium's remix package for *[Ashes](/source/Ashes_(Illenium_album))* alongside remixes from [Dabin](/source/Dabin_(music_producer)), [We Are Fury](/source/We_Are_Fury), [Mr FijiWiji](/source/Mr_FijiWiji), Just A Gent, Kill Paris, William Black, Crystal Skies, T-Mass, LZRD, it's different, and Hazey Eyes.[53]

### 2017: Charting singles and festivals

January 2017 saw Cybulski release "Genesis"[54] on the 3rd and "Vindicta"[55] on the 10th. One month later, Cybulski released "Fourth Impact",[56] a collaboration with [REZZ](/source/REZZ) on February 3.

On March 10, 2017, Cybulski performed at [BUKU Music + Art Project](/source/BUKU_Music_%2B_Art_Project)[12] in [New Orleans](/source/New_Orleans), alongside [Travis Scott](/source/Travis_Scott), [Young Thug](/source/Young_Thug), [Lil Yachty](/source/Lil_Yachty), [21 Savage](/source/21_Savage), [Run The Jewels](/source/Run_The_Jewels), [Vince Staples](/source/Vince_Staples), [SOPHIE](/source/SOPHIE), [Clams Casino](/source/Clams_Casino), [Thundercat](/source/Thundercat_(musician)), [Tycho](/source/Tycho_(musician)), [deadmau5](/source/Deadmau5), [Zeds Dead](/source/Zeds_Dead), [Cashmere Cat](/source/Cashmere_Cat), and [Car Seat Headrest](/source/Car_Seat_Headrest).

"[Lose Myself](/source/Lose_Myself_(song))" with Phil Good was Cybulski's next single, released on March 17 on PRMD Music. It reached #40 on Billboard's Dance Airplay chart,[57] making it his first charting release. On March 25, Cybulski played a set in [Miami](/source/Miami) supporting [REZZ](/source/REZZ), then on April 9 he performed at Phoenix Lights Festival[58] in [Phoenix, Arizona](/source/Phoenix%2C_Arizona), alongside [Tiësto](/source/Ti%C3%ABsto), [Alesso](/source/Alesso), [Above & Beyond](/source/Above_%26_Beyond_(band)), [Illenium](/source/Illenium), and [Oliver Heldens](/source/Oliver_Heldens). He also toured with [The Chainsmokers](/source/The_Chainsmokers) in the month of April, supporting their [Memories Do Not Open Tour](/source/Memories_Do_Not_Open_Tour) along with [Kiiara](/source/Kiiara).

Two singles were released in May, "Glitch Boy"[59] on the 8th, and "Catherine"[60] with [Varien](/source/Varien) on the 31st. Cybulski played a set[61] supporting [RL Grime](/source/RL_Grime) on July 15 in [Dallas](/source/Dallas), then on August 4 he performed at [Lollapalooza](/source/Lollapalooza)[5] in [Chicago](/source/Chicago) along with [Blink-182](/source/Blink-182), [Lorde](/source/Lorde), [Justice](/source/Justice_(band)), [Charli XCX](/source/Charli_XCX), [Glass Animals](/source/Glass_Animals), [DJ Snake](/source/DJ_Snake), [Lil Uzi Vert](/source/Lil_Uzi_Vert), [Migos](/source/Migos), [Foster the People](/source/Foster_the_People), [Tove Lo](/source/Tove_Lo), [The Killers](/source/The_Killers), [Wiz Khalifa](/source/Wiz_Khalifa), [Chance the Rapper](/source/Chance_the_Rapper), [Big Sean](/source/Big_Sean), and [Muse](/source/Muse_(band)).

On August 23, Cybulski released "1234"[62] with Medasin. He performed at Breakaway Music Festival[63] on September 2 in [Columbus, Ohio](/source/Columbus%2C_Ohio) along with [Playboi Carti](/source/Playboi_Carti), [Diplo](/source/Diplo) and [Galantis](/source/Galantis), then [Electric Zoo](/source/Electric_Zoo)[8] on September 3 in [New York City](/source/New_York_City) along with [Zedd](/source/Zedd), [Eric Prydz](/source/Eric_Prydz) and [Armin van Buuren](/source/Armin_van_Buuren). His festival run continued with [Nocturnal Wonderland](/source/Nocturnal_Wonderland)[9] in [San Bernardino, California](/source/San_Bernardino%2C_California) on September 15, playing alongside [Dillon Francis](/source/Dillon_Francis), [Sub Focus](/source/Sub_Focus), [Excision](/source/Excision_(musician)), [Zomboy](/source/Zomboy) and [Valentino Khan](/source/Valentino_Khan). Around this time he supported [REZZ](/source/REZZ) at two stops on her [Mass Manipulation](/source/Mass_Manipulation) Tour in the US and Canada.

His next release was "Distance" on November 7 with Evan Blair on PRMD Music, which peaked at #16 on Billboard's Dance Airplay chart,[64] and then after supporting Tiësto at two stops on the Clublife College Tour he released a remix for "[Young](/source/Young_(The_Chainsmokers_song))" by [The Chainsmokers](/source/The_Chainsmokers) on [Columbia Records](/source/Columbia_Records). It was featured on their remix package for the song on December 15 alongside [Deniz Koyu](/source/Deniz_Koyu) and Midnight Kids. Cybulski rounded out the year with a performance at SnowGlobe Festival[65] in [South Lake Tahoe, California](/source/South_Lake_Tahoe%2C_California) on December 30, playing on a lineup with [Khalid](/source/Khalid_(American_singer)) and [Porter Robinson](/source/Porter_Robinson).

### 2018–2021: *Find Paradise EP* and *Rebirth EP*

Cybulski's first performance of 2018 was at [Life in Color](/source/Life_in_Color)[11] on January 14 in [Miami](/source/Miami%2C_Florida) along with [Jaden Smith](/source/Jaden_Smith). On March 16 he performed at [Beyond Wonderland](/source/Beyond_Wonderland)[10] in San Bernardino along with [KSHMR](/source/KSHMR), [Chris Lake](/source/Chris_Lake), [FISHER](/source/Fisher_(musician)), [R3hab](/source/R3hab) and [Kill the Noise](/source/Kill_the_Noise), and on May 11 he performed at [Red Rocks Amphitheatre](/source/Red_Rocks_Amphitheatre) in [Denver](/source/Denver), supporting [Tchami](/source/Tchami) and [Malaa](/source/Malaa)'s No Redemption Tour.[66]

Through early 2018, Cybulski continued to release singles on PRMD Music: "Banshee" with [Wolfgang Gartner](/source/Wolfgang_Gartner) on February 20, "[Zero One](/source/Zero_One_(song))"[67] on April 16, and "A.I." on June 26. Wolfgang Gartner stated in a press release for "Banshee" that ""K?D finally convinced me to revisit the gritty distorted electro sound that I made my name with a decade ago, and I'm glad he did...This project actually sparked a series of songs in this same vein that I'm looking forward to unleashing on the unsuspecting masses."[68]

On October 5, 2018, Cybulski released his six-track debut extended play, *Find Paradise* through the label Alt:Vision.[72] The EP featured [Mickey Kojak](/source/Mickey_Kojak) and comprised many genres, including [dubstep](/source/Dubstep), [future bass](/source/Future_bass), [drum & bass](/source/Drum_%26_bass), [hardstyle](/source/Hardstyle) and [industrial techno](/source/Industrial_techno).[72][73] Through an emailed statement to *Billboard*, Cybulski stated that he "did not want to stick to a specific theme for [his] first project" to ensure listeners will not label a specific genre to his name. He continued: "I guess my main goal is to push music to new boundaries, even if it means getting backlash for it."[73]

From September to December, Cybulski went on the Find Paradise Tour[74] organized by Alt:Vision in the United States, Canada and Australia, bringing [Dabin](/source/Dabin_(music_producer)), [Golden Features](/source/Golden_Features), Devault and Drezo with him as support. While in Australia, he performed at [The Grass Is Greener Festival](/source/The_Grass_Is_Greener_(festival))[75] on October 27, along with [Darude](/source/Darude) and [ShockOne](/source/ShockOne).

Toward the end of the year, in December, Cybulski appeared on [RL Grime](/source/RL_Grime)'s remix package[76] for his album [Nova](/source/Nova_(RL_Grime_album)) on WeDidIt. Cybulski's remix of "Rainer" was featured alongside remixes from [Valentino Khan](/source/Valentino_Khan), [Anna Lunoe](/source/Anna_Lunoe), [Eptic](/source/Eptic), [Said The Sky](/source/Said_The_Sky), [1788-L](/source/1788-L), [Quix](/source/Quix), [Blanke](/source/Blanke_(DJ)), TYNAN, MYRNE, Hex Cougar, Alexander Lewis, Devault, Montell2099, Enschway, Dabow, Shadient and Wavedash.

In 2019, Cybulski released a live edit of the title track from *Find Paradise EP* on January 11, a remix of "HAHAHA" by SMF (Wendel Kos) on February 21, a collaboration called "Antidance" on [Kayzo](/source/Kayzo)'s second album *Unleashed*[77] on August 14, and a second version of his remix of "Doin' It Right" by Daft Punk and Panda Bear on December 10.

In March and April 2019, Cybulski toured in the US and Canada with Kayzo's Unleashed Tour and [Slushii](/source/Slushii)'s Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. In May he made his live debut in Asia at [EDC Japan](/source/Electric_Daisy_Carnival),[78] on a lineup with [Skrillex](/source/Skrillex) and [Major Lazer](/source/Major_Lazer). Cybulski toured Europe in June, going to the Netherlands and Spain and performing at Nameless Music Festival in [Lecco](/source/Lecco), Italy along with [Benny Benassi](/source/Benny_Benassi), [Digitalism](/source/Digitalism_(band)), [Salvatore Ganacci](/source/Salvatore_Ganacci) and [The Bloody Beetroots](/source/The_Bloody_Beetroots). Around this time period Cybulski slowed his output, as he began work on his debut album. His only new song in 2020 was a DJ edit of [Skrillex](/source/Skrillex)'s remix of "[Sicko Mode](/source/Sicko_Mode)" by [Travis Scott](/source/Travis_Scott) on October 14. Then on December 4, Cybulski released the compilation EP *Rebirth*,[79] containing five songs from 2016 to 2017 which had previously been unavailable on streaming services. This EP also received a vinyl printing in October 2021, Cybulski's first physical release.[80]

In 2021 Cybulski debuted on [Dim Mak Records](/source/Dim_Mak_Records) in his first collaboration with [Steve Aoki](/source/Steve_Aoki), "BIB" on January 15. He played [Beyond Wonderland](/source/Beyond_Wonderland) in San Bernardino on August 28 and [EDC](/source/Electric_Daisy_Carnival) Las Vegas on October 22, then on December 6, he released a remix of "[One Last Kiss](/source/One_Last_Kiss_(EP))" by [Hikaru Utada](/source/Hikaru_Utada), the theme song for [Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time](/source/Evangelion%3A_3.0%2B1.0_Thrice_Upon_a_Time).

### 2022: *Cage Script*

Cybulski released his debut album, *[Cage Script](/source/Cage_Script)*,[81] on [HARD Recs](/source/Insomniac_(promoter)) on December 9, 2022. The album featured collaborations with Japanese electronic producers Masayoshi Iimori, KOTONOHOUSE and Yadosan, as well as singers June One, Cecilia Gault and RANASOL.

The album's rollout began on February 22, 2022, with the first single, "Return To Nothingness".[82] Four singles followed throughout the year: "Flow In You"[83] with June One on March 18, "If This Is A Dream"[84] on July 1, "Three In The Morning" with Cecilia Gault on September 16, and "Protect Me"[85] with Yadosan on October 21.

During the rollout of the album, Cybulski returned to Dim Mak Records in collaboration with Yadosan on Steve Aoki's remix package[86] for the album [Hiroquest: Genesis](/source/Hiroquest%3A_Genesis), on November 11. ### 2023–2024: *Past Life EP* and Monstercat

Following the album, Cybulski's first release of 2023 was a single on HARD Recs called "You And Me"[87] on March 10, which received a premiere on [UKF](/source/UKF_Music). On May 9, Cybulski released a second version of his remix of "Sad Machine" by Porter Robinson, following his original remix from 2016.

On September 28, Cybulski made his debut appearance on [Seven Lions](/source/Seven_Lions)' label [Ophelia Records](/source/Ophelia_Records), with the song "On My Own" featuring Nevve. This was a single for his EP *Past Life*,[88] which was then released on November 10.

Cybulski's first release of 2024 was his debut on [Nightmode](/source/Insomniac_(promoter)), "Tear Me Down" co-written by Tisoki and Courtney Drummey, which was released on April 5 and received a UKF premiere. Two months later, his next release was the collaboration "Lose My Mind" with Steve Aoki on the album *Paragon*,[89] released on Dim Mak on June 28.
