It is located in the village of [Justvik](/source/Justvik), just north of the centre of the [city of Kristiansand](/source/Kristiansand_(town)). It is one of the churches for the Oddernes [parish](/source/parish) which is part of the [Kristiansand domprosti](/source/Kristiansand_domprosti) (arch-[deanery](/source/deanery)) in the [Diocese of Agder og Telemark](/source/Diocese_of_Agder_og_Telemark). The tan brick church was built in a [rectangular](/source/Churches_in_Norway) design in 1996 using plans drawn up by the [architect](/source/architect) [Ernst Aukland](/source/Ernst_Aukland).
