# Justin Booty

**Justin Booty** (born 2 June 1976) is an English former [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) in [the Football League](/source/The_Football_League) for [Colchester United](/source/Colchester_United_F.C.).

## Career

Born in [Colchester](/source/Colchester), Booty began his playing career with hometown club [Colchester United](/source/Colchester_United_F.C.).[1] During his time in the Colchester youth team, he scored a double [hat-trick](/source/Hat-trick) in 1992, only the third under-18 player to achieve this feat.[3] After impressing at youth level, he made his first-team debut on 11 January 1994 in a 1–0 home defeat to [Wycombe Wanderers](/source/Wycombe_Wanderers_F.C.) in the [Associate Members' Cup](/source/Football_League_Trophy).[4]

His first and only appearance in [the Football League](/source/The_Football_League)[5] came four days later on 15 January in a 1–0 home victory over [Hereford United](/source/Hereford_United_F.C.), coming on as a substitute for [Grant Watts](/source/Grant_Watts).[6] Following his exit from Colchester, Booty joined [Braintree Town](/source/Braintree_Town_F.C.) and later [Wivenhoe Town](/source/Wivenhoe_Town_F.C.).[1]
