"**Just Another Case**" is song by American hip hop group [Cru](/source/Cru_(group)) featuring a verse from [Slick Rick](/source/Slick_Rick). It was released on June 17, 1997, through [Violator](/source/Violator_(company))/[Def Jam Recordings](/source/Def_Jam_Recordings) as the [lead single](/source/Lead_single) from their debut album *[Da Dirty 30](/source/Da_Dirty_30)*. Recording sessions took place at Animation Sound in [New York City](/source/New_York_City). [Production](/source/Hip_hop_production) was handled by member Yogi Bear, who used a sample of "The World Is a Place" performed by Rhythm, an interpolation of "[Everybody Plays the Fool](/source/Everybody_Plays_the_Fool)" performed by [The Main Ingredient](/source/The_Main_Ingredient), and a sample of "[Children's Story](/source/Children's_Story)" performed by Slick Rick.
