'''Julius Scriver''' (February 5, 1826 – September 5, 1907) was a politician in [Quebec](/source/Quebec), Canada.

Born in [Hemmingford](/source/Hemmingford%2C_Quebec_(village)), [Lower Canada](/source/Lower_Canada) (now [Quebec](/source/Quebec)), the son of [John Scriver](/source/John_Scriver) and Lucretia Manning, he studied at the Workman's School in Montreal and the [University of Vermont](/source/University_of_Vermont). He became a [miller](/source/miller) and [tanner](/source/Tanning_(leather)) in Hemmingford.

In 1867, he was elected to the [Legislative Assembly of Quebec](/source/Legislative_Assembly_of_Quebec) representing the provincial riding of [Huntingdon](/source/Huntingdon_(Quebec_provincial_electoral_district)). In an 1869 by-election, he was acclaimed as [Liberal](/source/Liberal_Party_of_Canada) Member of Parliament in the federal riding of [Huntingdon](/source/Huntingdon_(federal_electoral_district)). He was re-elected in [1872](/source/1872_Canadian_federal_election) (acclaimed), [1874](/source/1874_Canadian_federal_election), [1878](/source/1878_Canadian_federal_election) (acclaimed), [1882](/source/1882_Canadian_federal_election), [1887](/source/1887_Canadian_federal_election) (acclaimed), [1891](/source/1891_Canadian_federal_election), and [1896](/source/1896_Canadian_federal_election). He died at [Westmount](/source/Westmount%2C_Quebec) in 1907.
