# Judith Jagdmann

**Judith Williams Jagdmann** (born November 3, 1958) is an American attorney who served as the 43rd [Attorney General of Virginia](/source/Attorney_General_of_Virginia). Elected by the [Virginia General Assembly](/source/Virginia_General_Assembly) to fill the vacancy created when [Jerry Kilgore](/source/Jerry_Kilgore_(politician)) resigned to run for governor, she remained in office until the election of [Bob McDonnell](/source/Bob_McDonnell).[1] She served on the [Virginia State Corporation Commission](/source/State_Corporation_Commission_(Virginia)) from 2006 to 2022.[2]

Jagdmann is the daughter of the late [Glen Morgan Williams](/source/Glen_Morgan_Williams), a longtime judge of the [United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia](/source/United_States_District_Court_for_the_Western_District_of_Virginia).[3]
