The ***Journal of Victorian Culture*** is a quarterly [academic journal](/source/Academic_journal) of [cultural history](/source/Cultural_history). Established in 1996 and published by [Oxford University Press](/source/Oxford_University_Press), it tries to promote the best work on all aspects of nineteenth-century society, culture, and the material world including: [literature](/source/Literature), [art](/source/Art), [performance](/source/Performance), [politics](/source/Politics), [science](/source/Science), [medicine](/source/Medicine), [technology](/source/Technology), lived experience, and ideas.
