He is the oldest son of Alan and Esther Sternin, and has one younger brother, Richard Sternin. ## Career Among Sternin's producer credits include 23 episodes of *[Murphy Brown](/source/Murphy_Brown)* in 1996 through 1997 and as writer for 10 of them, as well as producer for 64 episodes of *[That '70s Show](/source/That_'70s_Show)* in 1998 through 2001 and as a writer for 8 of them. In 2002, he and [Jennifer Ventimilia](/source/Jennifer_Ventimilia) created a show for Fox called *[The Grubbs](/source/The_Grubbs)*, starring [Randy Quaid](/source/Randy_Quaid). Due to negative critical reaction, the show was canceled before it went on air.[1] Sternin wrote *[The Simpsons](/source/The_Simpsons)* episode "[Simpson Tide](/source/Simpson_Tide)" (with Ventimilia as his co-writer)[2] and the teleplay of the episode "['Round Springfield](/source/'Round_Springfield)", based on a story idea by [Al Jean](/source/Al_Jean) and [Mike Reiss](/source/Mike_Reiss).[3] He co-wrote the screenplay for the 2004 film *[Surviving Christmas](/source/Surviving_Christmas)* and the 2010 film *[Tooth Fairy](/source/Tooth_Fairy_(2010_film))*.[4][5] He also worked on the 2010 film *[Yogi Bear](/source/Yogi_Bear_(film)),* and was one of the lead screenwriters for the 2011 animated film [*Rio*](/source/Rio_(2011_film)). He also served as an executive producer and writer for *[Kitchen Confidential](/source/Kitchen_Confidential_(TV_series))* for [Fox](/source/Fox_Broadcasting_Company), and *[Robot and Monster](/source/Robot_and_Monster)*, and *[Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles](/source/Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles_(2012_TV_series))* for [Nickelodeon](/source/Nickelodeon). He also has a writing career on [Wattpad](/source/Wattpad), where he has written 5 works under the pseudonym AaronRubicon.[6] ## Awards In 2004, Sternin was nominated for a [Golden Raspberry](/source/Golden_Raspberry) for [Worst Screenplay](/source/Golden_Raspberry_Award_for_Worst_Screenplay) for *[Surviving Christmas](/source/Surviving_Christmas)*.[7] In 2009, Sternin was nominated for a [Streamy Award](/source/Streamy_Award) for Best Directing for a Comedy Web Series for Overkill: A Love Story.
