**Joseph Howard Sherman** (1945 in [Bridgewater](/source/Bridgewater,_Nova_Scotia), [Nova Scotia](/source/Nova_Scotia) – January 9, 2006 in [Charlottetown](/source/Charlottetown,_Prince_Edward_Island), [Prince Edward Island](/source/Prince_Edward_Island)) was a [Jewish](/source/Jewish) [Canadian](/source/Canadians) [poet](/source/Poet) and [visual arts](/source/Visual_arts) [editor](/source/Editing). He was named to the [Order of Canada](/source/Order_of_Canada) in 2003. Husband to Ann Sherman. Father of Rebekah Sherman Condon and Matthew Sherman. Grandfather to Autumn West, David West, and Ariel West.[1][2][3]
