**Jorgeous** is the stage name of **Jorge Meza**, a drag performer most known for competing on [season 14](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_season_14) of *[RuPaul's Drag Race](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race)* and [season 9](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_All_Stars_season_9) and [season 10](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_All_Stars_season_10) of *[RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_All_Stars)*.[2]

## Early life

Meza was born and raised to a [Mexican American](/source/Mexican_Americans) family in [West San Antonio, Texas](/source/San_Antonio).[3][4][5][6] He dropped out of high school when he was young.[7] He worked at McDonald's to pay for his drag costumes.[3] His main inspiration is Chi-Chi Rodriguez from the 1995 movie *Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar*.[3]

## Career

Meza started doing [drag](/source/Drag_(entertainment)) and performing in [gay bars](/source/Gay_bar) at the age of 16.[8][9][10] He has said, "The name Jorgeous came from the word 'gorgeous' and my boy name, which is Jorge."[11]

Jorgeous competed on [season 14](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_season_14) of *[RuPaul's Drag Race](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race)*.[2] After surviving multiple lip syncs,[12] she was eliminated after failing to impress judges during a challenge in which contestants [roasted](/source/Roast_(comedy)) series judge [Ross Mathews](/source/Ross_Mathews).[13] Stephen Daw of *[Billboard](/source/Billboard_(magazine))* called her "the season's undisputed lip sync assassin".[14] While filming, Jorgeous had an unaired "budding romance" with fellow contestant [Orion Story](/source/Orion_Story).[15][16] Following *Drag Race*, she joined the [Werq the World](/source/Werq_the_World) tour.[17] She was a cast member of the variety show *[RuPaul's Drag Race Live!](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_Live!)*, as of 2023.[18][19]

In 2022, Jorgeous appeared alongside other [drag queens](/source/Drag_queen) in a tribute to [Jennifer Lopez](/source/Jennifer_Lopez) at the [iHeartRadio Music Awards](/source/IHeartRadio_Music_Awards).[20] She also appeared in the [music video](/source/Music_video) for [Leland](/source/Leland_(musician))'s song "Taste So Good".[21][22]

On April 23, 2024, Jorgeous was announced as one of the eight contestants competing on the [ninth season](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_All_Stars_season_9) of *[RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_All_Stars)*.[23]

On April 23, 2025, Jorgeous was announced as one of eighteen former *Drag Race* contestants participating in the [tenth season](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race_All_Stars_season_10) of *[RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars](/source/RuPaul's_Drag_Race%3A_All_Stars)*.[2]

## Personal life

Meza is gay and has an older brother who is also gay.[3]

Jorgeous had approximately 300,000 followers on [Instagram](/source/Instagram), as of May 2025.[24] Meza relocated to [Tennessee](/source/Tennessee) for work at the age of 18.[25] He lived in [Nashville](/source/Nashville%2C_Tennessee) as of late 2021.[26]
