**Joop Eversteijn** (29 January 1921 – 2 November 2013) was a Dutch [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [centre forward](/source/Centre_forward), spending his entire career with [ADO Den Haag](/source/ADO_Den_Haag).[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] He won the [1942](/source/1941%E2%80%9342_Netherlands_Football_League_Championship) and [1943 league](/source/1942%E2%80%9343_Netherlands_Football_League_Championship) title with the club.[1] He was a member of the club's board from 1965 to 1977.

## Personal life and death

Eversteijn played several years alongside his older brother Piet, who died in March 2017, aged 97.[1]

He died on 2 November 2013, aged 92, in his hometown of [The Hague](/source/The_Hague), [South Holland](/source/South_Holland).[2]
