# Jonathan Laugel

**Jonathan Laugel** (born 30 January 1993) is a French [rugby seven](/source/Rugby_seven) forward who competed at the [2016 Olympics](/source/Rugby_sevens_at_the_2016_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_tournament).[1][2] He has been playing [rugby sevens](/source/Rugby_sevens) since 2011 and is contracted to the [French Rugby Federation](/source/French_Rugby_Federation). He made his debut at the [2012 Wellington Sevens](/source/2012_Wellington_Sevens).[3]

Laugel competed for [France](/source/France_national_rugby_sevens_team) at the [2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens](/source/2022_Rugby_World_Cup_Sevens) in [Cape Town](/source/Cape_Town).[4]

## Personal life

Laugel has also participated in [Judo](/source/Judo) and [Basketball](/source/Basketball).[5] He is studying [management](/source/Management) at the [Grenoble School of Management](/source/Grenoble_School_of_Management).[6]
