==Biography==
Craig was educated at Dromore High School, Friends School and is a graduate of the [University of Ulster](/source/University_of_Ulster). 
He was first elected to [Lisburn City Council](/source/Lisburn_City_Council) in [2001](/source/2001_Lisburn_Borough_Council_election), representing the [Lisburn Town North](/source/Lisburn_North_(District_Electoral_Area)) District, and served as Mayor of Lisburn from 2005 to 2006.{{citation needed|date=June 2016}}

He was elected to the [Northern Ireland Assembly](/source/Northern_Ireland_Assembly) at the [2007 Assembly election](/source/2007_Northern_Ireland_Assembly_election) for [Lagan Valley](/source/Lagan_Valley_(Assembly_constituency)).

Craig was later re-elected to the Assembly in [2011](/source/2011_Northern_Ireland_Assembly_election), and Lisburn City Council in the [local elections held the same day](/source/2011_Northern_Ireland_local_elections).
