**John William Trytsman** (born 29 July 1971) is a South African former [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) player.[1]

## Playing career

Trytsman matriculated at [Durbanville High School](/source/Durbanville_High_School) and studied at the [University of Stellenbosch](/source/University_of_Stellenbosch), representing the [Maties](/source/Maties) on the rugby field. He made his senior provincial debut for [Western Province](/source/Stormers) in 1992 and in 1996 moved to [Boland](/source/Boland_Cavaliers). In 1998, he returned to Western Province and later that year was selected to tour with the [Springboks to Britain and Ireland](/source/1998_South_Africa_rugby_union_tour_of_Britain_and_Ireland).[2] Trytsman did not play in any test matches but played in four tour matches for the Springboks.[3]
