# John Valder

**John Valder** (21 September 1931 – 9 May 2017) was an Australian politician who was president of the federal [Liberal Party of Australia](/source/Liberal_Party_of_Australia) and chairman of the [Australian Securities Exchange](/source/Australian_Securities_Exchange).[1] He served as deputy chairman of the [State Bank of New South Wales](/source/State_Bank_of_New_South_Wales).[2]

Valder was a founding member of the ['Not happy, John!' campaign](/source/'Not_happy,_John!'_campaign).
