# John Sandgren

**John (Johan) Sandgren** (1883, [Roslagen](/source/Roslagen) – 17 October 1932, [Chicago](/source/Chicago)) was a [Swedish](/source/Swedish_people) [syndicalist](/source/Syndicalism) active in [Sweden](/source/Sweden) and the [United States](/source/United_States). He was editor of *[The One Big Union Monthly](/source/The_One_Big_Union_Monthly)* and *[The Industrial Pioneer](/source/The_Industrial_Pioneer)*, publications of the [Industrial Workers of the World](/source/Industrial_Workers_of_the_World).[1]

In 1909 he visited the [USA](/source/USA) on behalf of the [1909 Swedish general strike](/source/1909_Swedish_general_strike).[1]

During the 1920s he supported himself through working for a translation agency which he had established.[1]
