# John Quarry

**John Quarry** was [Archdeacon of Cork](/source/Archdeacon_of_Cork) from 1894 until 1899.[1]

Quarry was born in [County Cork](/source/County_Cork) and educated at [Trinity College, Dublin](/source/Trinity_College,_Dublin).[2] He was ordained in 1833 and began his career with a curacy at [Shandon, Cork](/source/Shandon,_Cork). He held incumbencies at [Kilaughnabeg](/source/List_of_townlands_of_the_barony_of_East_Muskerry), [Kilmacabea](/source/Kilmacabea), [Kilgarriff](/source/Kilgarriff,_County_Cork), [Desertmore](/source/Ovens,_County_Cork) and [Midleton](/source/Midleton).[3]
