**John Myhre** (born 1959) is an American [production designer](/source/Production_designer) who has been working in [Hollywood](/source/Cinema_of_the_United_States) since the late 1980s.

He received his first [Academy Award](/source/Academy_Awards) nomination, for [Best Art Direction](/source/Academy_Award_for_Best_Production_Design), in 1998, for [Shekhar Kapur](/source/Shekhar_Kapur)'s *[Elizabeth](/source/Elizabeth_(film))*, bringing him to the forefront of Hollywood production designers. His credits have included *[X-Men](/source/X-Men_(film))*, *[Ali](/source/Ali_(2001_film))* and *[The Haunted Mansion](/source/The_Haunted_Mansion_(2003_film)).* He is also a frequent collaborator of director [Rob Marshall](/source/Rob_Marshall), working on the films *[Chicago](/source/Chicago_(2002_film)),* *[Memoirs of a Geisha](/source/Memoirs_of_a_Geisha_(film))*, *[Nine](/source/Nine_(2009_live-action_film)), [Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides](/source/Pirates_of_the_Caribbean%3A_On_Stranger_Tides)* and *[Mary Poppins Returns](/source/Mary_Poppins_Returns)* with the former two winning him the Academy Award for Best Art Direction.

Myhre's production design was also seen in [2006](/source/2006_in_film) on [Bill Condon](/source/Bill_Condon)'s *[Dreamgirls](/source/Dreamgirls_(film))*, which was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Art Direction.
