# John Kascenska

**John Kascenska** is an American [Republican](/source/Vermont_Republican_Party) politician who represents the Essex–Caledonia district in the [Vermont House of Representatives](/source/Vermont_House_of_Representatives). He previously represented the [Caledonia 4 district](/source/Caledonia-4_Vermont_Representative_District,_2002%E2%80%932012) from March 8, 2022 to 2023. He was appointed by [Phil Scott](/source/Phil_Scott) on March 7, 2022.[1] In August 2022, he was [defeated in the primary](/source/2022_Vermont_House_of_Representatives_election) by fellow Republican incumbent [Terri Lynn Williams](/source/Terri_Lynn_Williams).[2]
