# John Days

**John Edward Days** (10 July 1872 – 19 August 1947) was an English [cricketer](/source/Cricket), who played two [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) games for [Worcestershire](/source/Worcestershire_County_Cricket_Club). He took only two wickets, both on debut against [Warwickshire](/source/Warwickshire_County_Cricket_Club) in 1900, but both victims were notable players: future Warwickshire captain [Tom Fishwick](/source/Tom_Fishwick) and [Test cricketer](/source/Test_cricket) [Willie Quaife](/source/Willie_Quaife). His other match was against [Surrey](/source/Surrey_County_Cricket_Club) almost seven years later, but this was a game in which he did not bowl at all.

He was born in [Peopleton](/source/Peopleton), [Worcestershire](/source/Worcestershire); he died in [Walsall](/source/Walsall), then [Staffordshire](/source/Staffordshire), at the age of 75.
